Visit Maxair in Beautiful Door County!
In Fall 2009, Maxair opened the doors of its second location at the Door County Cherryland Airport in Sturgeon Bay, WI (SUE). This full service FBO offers flight instruction, scenic rides, maintenance, fuel, charter services and hangar storage. We're located at 3538 Park Drive in Sturgeon Bay near the Potowatomi State Park.
Welcome to Maxair!
Our main Appleton (ATW) facility is located at W6400 Challenger Drive at the Outagamie County Airport, just south of the control tower, off taxiways E and C. This facility houses our front desk and line department. A separate hangar just south of this building houses our maintenance department. For customers driving to this facility, you'll head west on College Ave until you get to the main airport entrance. Proceed straight through the stop lights and stay in the far right lane. This lane will bring you directly in front of the terminal building and you will continue past the terminal and turn right into our parking lot.
We also have an Executive hangar on the north end of the airport which is where all our charter aircraft depart from. That building is located at W6370 Discovery Drive. To access the building by car, take a right onto CB off of College Ave when you get to the main airport entrance. Take your next left by FedEx and take another immediate left onto Discovery Drive. Our building is the last one on the right.
All Maxair buildings are secured and ramp activity is monitored by Maxair personnel. In order to gain access to the ramp at the south facility, the receptionist must verify you as the owner or visitor of a specific aircraft, and will then unlock the door to allow you access to your aircraft. A phone is located in the vestibule of the north (Executive) hangar for gaining building access. A sign hanging near the phone lists all pertinent phone numbers for you to call to gain access.
