EAA AirVenture

Maxair's Appleton location is located less than 25 minutes from Oshkosh, home of the annual EAA AirVenture event, and accommodates approximately 700 aircraft every year during the event.

Access the Appleton Arrival/Departure notam by clicking on the following link:
http://www.airventure.org/flying/2010_NOTAM.pdf

Hangar Space is available during EAA!  Please contact Mark Doule at (920) 738-3020 or markd@maxair-inc.com for more information.

Aircraft Parking

  • Maxair does not accept aircraft parking reservations. We have always had adequate parking space and have never turned anyone away.

  • Due to this being an air carrier field, increased security requires that each person coming through our facility be issued and wear a bracelet in order to return to their aircraft.

  • Grass parking for single engine aircraft is offered at a one-time fee of $15.00

  • Remote hard surface parking for larger aircraft is offered at a one-time fee of $30.00.

  • We discourage ramp parking as we need this space for transient customers. Ramp fees are considerably higher than hard surface parking due to ramp space shortage.

  • Camping is prohibited on the airport.

  • The grass parking area will be closed from 8:00pm until 6:00am. You will not be able to get to your aircraft between those hours, so please plan accordingly.

  • Airport management requires all aircraft to be tied down. If you do not own your own tie-down kit, you’ll be able to purchase one from an EAA volunteer.

  • Once you’ve deplaned, a field volunteer will greet you and hand out a fuel request card to be completely filled out and hung on your prop. They are used to identify the location of your aircraft and also to notify line service of your fuel request.

  • We have several courtesy vans running continually to and from our building to transport people from their aircraft. The FAA prohibits anyone walking across taxi-ways, so you must use the vans that we have supplied.

  • Inside Maxair’s lobby you’ll find a booth run by the Fox Cities Tourism Bureau to help you with any questions you might have on the Fox Cities or surrounding area. For more information on hotel vacancies, car rentals, etc, please contact the Tourism Bureau at (920) 734-3358 or visit their website at www.foxcities.org.

  • There are maps available in the lobby with the shuttle bus schedule to transport you to and from Oshkosh. The bus schedule can also be accessed on the web at http://www.nationwidetravelers.com/2010%20Tours/EAA2010.pdf

  • Pre-payment of parking (if no fuel is requested) is encouraged as the lines for the receptionist desk tend to get lengthy towards the end of the event. Upon your departure, please check in with the front desk to settle up your fuel/parking bill. The front desk will have your fuel ticket filed under your tail number.

Visiting pilots are also welcome at our Sturgeon Bay location in beautiful Door County (SUE)!

We thoroughly hope you’ll enjoy your stay with us and are glad to help you should you have any further questions and/or concerns!
